His creative dissertation comprises a verse biography of Samuel Taylor Coleridge together with critical commentary. His writing has appeared in the Charles Lamb and Coleridge Bulletins and Creel: an anthology of creative writing. He lives in Colchester with his partner.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u2018Religiosity\u2019 of the Symbol in Coleridge\u2019s Dejection ode\u201d This talk will discuss two interpretations of the meaning of Coleridge\u2019s Dejection ode (1802) in connection with my previous talk on the translucence of the symbol in Coleridgean thought. Simon Critchley\u2019s secular reading of the ode will be compared with Peter Cheyne\u2019s reading which supports a contemplative-philosophical approach. This talk is based on content excerpted from the critical portion of my creative dissertation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Linda Mary Montano<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bio<\/p>\n<p>Linda Mary Montano is a seminal figure in contemporary feminist performance art and her work since the mid 1960s has been critical in the development of video by, for, and about women. Attempting to dissolve the boundaries between art and life, Montano continues to actively explore her art\/life through shared experience, role adoption, and intricate life altering ceremonies, some of which last for seven or more years. Her artwork is starkly autobiographical and often concerned with personal and spiritual transformation. Montano\u2019s influence is wide ranging \u2013 she has been featured at museums including The New Museum in New York, MOCA San Francisco and the ICA in London.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation<\/p>\n<p>Linda will sing new words to THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE while holding a small chicken\/puppet. After her song a video of a small boy singing EVERY LITTLE THING WILL BE ALRIGHT will play. On chat there will be a statement about Montano\u2019s process. At the end of the event, we will all dance together to ADDICTED TO LOVE.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Linda_Montano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Linda_Montano<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Nina Danino<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bio<\/p>\n<p>Nina Danino is a filmmaker and artist. She has made experimental films and feature length films. Her most recent film I Die of Sadness Crying For You (2019) was premiered at the London Film Festival and Seville European Film Festival (2019). She is Reader in Fine Art, Goldsmiths, University of London.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation<br \/>\nI am working on two long films and when one was not funded by the BFI in September of last year, it made me think about women and performance art \u2013 how women turned to immediate materials &#8211; their bodies, actions and voices. I have been making short song works since April 2020 which was unexpected and I have recently made dance videos out of my enjoyment of the music.
