The house is a personal centre of gravity, so familiar that I hardly notice it, heavy with memories. This conflicted with the alienation and disconnectedness I felt when I moved away.\u00a0Having now returned to my mother\u2019s house to live during the Covid-19 lockdown, the work has a new relevance.
