Trevor Coopersmith

Wanderer above the Sea of Dice

There is nothing quite so isolating as solitude, yet there is also nothing as liberating about the sensation as well; contemplation, loneliness, redemption and fantasy in nature amid the pandemic.  Amongst the uncertainty and chaos of COVID-19, the weekly game nights at my local brewery have been shut down, as social gatherings are no longer permitted. As a place I once visited weekly, I have turned to online versions of Dungeons & Dragons; as well as providing solace during restricting times, these are bringing back fond memories of extensive camping and backpacking trips I deeply long for. Currently stuck inside my house in quarantine, there is nothing more I desire than to experience national parks open, free and expansive; redeeming my soul of isolation and past difficulties.
