Medusa in the time of Covid

I was suddenly faced by what I thought was a lone jellyfish in a calm sea, possibly avoidable, but then I began to panic when I realised I was surrounded by a bloom. As I tried to dodge them they stung me with their long tentacles and I thrashed my way to shore to escape these creatures. I experienced searing pain and burning marks when I emerged from the sea. The scars eventually healed but this experience left me with a lasting impression of the beauty belying the danger that these small creatures possess.
